- ¼ cup milk
- 2 cups Flour
- Salt and Pepper

Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes
Preparation- Open your bag of steak bites or cut your steak into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare three separate bowls.
- Dip the steak bites first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finish with dipping them into the breading. Place on a plate or follow the optional breading instructions below.
- For best results, place the breaded steak bites onto parchment paper and refrigerate or freeze for 10-20 minutes before frying to help the breading adhere better and ensure the steak stays cold for a crisp breading without overcooking the steak inside.
- Heat oil in a skillet on high. Once hot, reduce to medium heat.
- Place the breaded steak bites into the skillet.
- Fry for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes on each side or until cooked through and browned. You can cut open a piece to check if it's cooked thoroughly.
Serving:
- Serve hot with your preferred dipping sauce. Enjoy!
- Tip: You can make extra batches and store them raw in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Notes On Ingredients
- Breading: We tried Pork Panko, Kinder Buttermilk Ranch, and Parmesan Herb. Pork Panko was our favorite. Note that the Kinder breading turns out darker than Pork Panko but isn't burnt.
- Oil: We used extra light olive oil made for sautéing. Other oils tried included almond oil (for high heat), canola oil, peanut oil, but extra light olive oil was preferred. Palm oil, lard, or tallow can also be used.
- Dipping Sauce: We used Chick-fil-A sauce and Fun Guy Ketchup made by Irish Spikes. Feel free to use your favorite dipping sauce.
The Story Behind the Recipe
We created this recipe because we wanted our kids to have a healthier alternative to the store-bought chicken nuggets. Our locally grown and raised beef is delivered straight to your door, ensuring quality and convenience. These steak bites come prepackaged, so you don't even have to cut them up, making it an easy and fun recipe for summer.
The idea behind these Easy Homemade Beef Nuggets was to provide a better option than the processed chicken nuggets available in stores. We aimed to create a dish that’s not only nutritious but also delicious and fun for the whole family to enjoy. These nuggets have become a favorite in our household, especially because they are made with high-quality, locally sourced beef.
We also wanted to ensure that the recipe was straightforward and kid-friendly. By involving the kids in the cooking process, it becomes an engaging activity, and they love seeing their food go from raw steak bites to crispy, golden nuggets. Plus, with the flexibility of choosing different breadings and dipping sauces, every batch can have a unique twist.
We hope you enjoy making these Easy Homemade Beef Nuggets as much as we do. They’re perfect for a quick meal, a summer BBQ, or just a fun kitchen project with the kids. Enjoy!
